Quick Biscuits
These are a simple affair. Based biscuits my father used to whip up while a soup was finishing. These are a great way to use fresh wheat. They can be made quickly. We're going for something that's a nice accompaniment to soup. These are not the lofty white biscuits made with tons of butter (those are also delicious but a different recipe).

Ingredients
- 3 cups AP flour
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 4 teaspoon baking powder in the show I had some acid in there so I used 1 tsp baking powder and 1 tsp baking soda, but if you don’t have acid in there just use 4 tsp baking powder
- 1 stick of butter I used a vegan substitute at a 1:1 ratio in this show
- 1 cup Milk I used almond milk and oat milk in the clip. You might not need this much milk, sorry I didn’t measure!!!
Instructions
- Set oven at 450°F
- Mix dry ingredients. Cut butter into flour mixture until consistency similar to corn meal. Add liquid. Mix until incorporated
- Use a spoon or roll out and cut biscuits.
- Bake in oven until golden brown (8-12 minutes). Be sure not to overcook.
